Job summary

Tobii Dynavox seeks a Collection Specialist to manage revenue-cycle activities and ensure timely collections from third-party payers including Medicare and private insurers. You will work with insurance companies, clients, and customers to resolve issues and reconcile accounts.

The role requires 2+ years in medical billing or collections, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication. Travel to the Pittsburgh office is required a few times a year, with residency in Central or Eastern Time

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2+ years in computer, accounting, collections, or high-volume medical billing.
• Knowledge of payment posting, contractual adjustments and refunds preferred.
• Understanding of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts and ensure timely billing, collections, and payment activity.
• Verify claims on file and follow up with payers for delays in payment.
• Investigate denials and coordinate with billers to address billing issues.
• Prepare correspondence such as appeals to obtain payments.
• Review posted payments for accuracy and reconcile any differences.
• Document communications in the system and follow up every 30 days with payers.
• Alert Manager of potential payment issues and support cash targets.
