Job summary

Tobii Dynavox is seeking a Collection Specialist to support the revenue cycle by ensuring timely collection from third-party payers, including Medicare, Medicaid and private insurers. You will collaborate with insurance companies, clients and customers to resolve collection issues and reconcile accounts.

The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical billing processes, and the ability to manage multiple accounts while meeting productivity and cash targets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2+ years in computer, accounting, collections or high-volume medical billing/insurance claims processing.
• Knowledge of payment posting, contractual adjustments and refunds preferred.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures and documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned accounts with billing, collections and payment activity.
• Follow up with payers to ensure payment.
• Investigate denials and coordinate with billers and funding consultants.
• Prepare correspondence, appeals, and review posted payments for accuracy.
• Follow up every 30 days with insurance companies, clients, SPLs, vendors.
• Identify payment issues and recommend adjustments/write-offs with manager approval.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and third-party funding regulations.
