Orange County's Federal Credit Union (OCFCU) in Santa Ana, CA seeks a Loss Mitigation and Collections Specialist. Responsibilities include contacting borrowers, arranging repayment plans, and coordinating with the Loan Servicing team to recover losses.

The role requires knowledge of collection regulations and a customer-focused approach. The position offers full-time hours in a clerical function within Loan Servicing, with a pay range of $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

Competenze

• Minimum one year of relevant work experience in collections, recoveries, loan servicing, or financial institution.
• Experience in customer relations, problem resolution, and error correction.
• Knowledge of relevant collection laws and guidelines is desirable.

Mansioni

• Contacts borrowers to identify causes of non-payment and offer repayment options.
• Establishes payment plans and follows up on promises to pay.
• Works in a call center with inbound and outbound calls.
• Makes repossession recommendations and issues Final Demand Letters.
• Keeps up with FDCPA, FCRA, CFPB regulations and implements policy changes.
• Collaborates with Loan Servicing team and outside agencies to recover deficiencies.
• Represents the credit union professionally to members and the public.
• Maintains service standards and achieves performance goals.
• Promotes credit union products and services.
• Maintains high level of Member service in every interaction.
