Job summary

Truist is seeking a Regular, English-speaking collection specialist to recover delinquent accounts while delivering exceptional client service. The role emphasizes transparency, positivity, and treating clients as we would like to be treated, with adherence to policies and guidelines.

The position requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and related training or experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to perform in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Achieve performance expectations for collection efforts for assigned accounts based upon individual goals and objectives.
• Provide Clients cure plans and negotiate payment arrangements to cure delinquency according to policies and training.
• Disclose all relevant account information to Clients accurately and professionally.
• Manage client communications with professionalism and integrity while complying with quality expectations.
• Work accounts thoroughly according to established procedures including contact attempts and required letters.
• Document all collection efforts in the system of record following policies and guidelines.
• Execute on the established call scripts documented in training and guidelines.
• Achieve acceptable call monitoring scores in each call category.
• Communicate with Client Default Leaders regarding repossessions, potential loss, inquiries, complaints, and special handling.
• Accurately process payments, transactions, and workflows.
• Complete all CBT courses accurately and timely.
