Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Collection Customer Service Representative to support receivables with a high level of service. Training occurs in Lake Forest, IL, with a hybrid schedule allowing three days onsite and two days remote after training.

Expect a weekly shift between 7am and 6pm, and quarterly travel to Janesville, WI for meetings. You will collaborate across Credit, Sales, and Branch teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience solving customer issues in a service environment or inbound call center.
• Proficient with MS Office tools and strong English grammar.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound phone inquiries and provide documentation as requested.
• Apply professional collection techniques to identify delinquency reasons and call customers.
• Collaborate with Credit, Sales and Branch teams to resolve payment barriers.
• Maintain accurate customer contact notes and document interactions.
• Assist in resolving un-reconciled checks with AR specialists.
• Support Sales in removing payment barriers and share customer data with Credit Managers.
