Job summary

City of Stockton’s Municipal Utilities Department is seeking a dedicated Collection Systems Operator to join the team. This role involves hands-on collection system construction, maintenance, video inspection, and customer service tasks in support of public health and infrastructure.

As experience grows, incumbents plan and review crew work while adapting to rotating shifts, emergency response, and a demanding outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1 year of sewer construction or maintenance experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class C California driver's license.
• Must obtain a Class A California driver's license within one year from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs collection system construction, maintenance, video inspection and customer service tasks.
• Plans, assigns, and reviews work of crews engaged in collection system activities as experience grows.
