Gfoat is seeking a field technician to inspect and maintain sewer collections, lift stations, and associated equipment. The role involves installing, repairing, and supporting at water and wastewater sites under supervision.
Candidates should be able to lift heavy items, operate power tools, and handle chemicals safely. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver’s license with a clean record.
Under general supervision of’ the Sewer Collection Supervisor. Several decisions are made daily requiring some interpretations and judgment. Position has no responsibilities for reports, records or any supervisory responsibilities.
City vehicles, backhoes, dump trucks, generators, hand and powered tools, ladders, hammers, compressors, two-way radio, and general garden tools (weed eaters, push mowers, chain saws, hedgers, blowers, and garden tractors).
Some unusual working hours, irregular hours or shifts, may involve occasional travel. Position is subject to 24-hour emergency callbacks. The physical demands include exposure to hazards which might result in serious injury and may works under extreme outdoor conditions. Continuous lifting of heavy materials, constant physical movement; demands physical strength associated with hard labor.

Prior experience working in the wastewater utility operations or related field. T.C.E.Q. License Class \"D\" Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator or Class \"I\" collection system operator, Class II Collection System Operator or Class \"C\" Wastewater Operator.
