Job summary

The Cincinnati Art Museum has an opening for a part-time Collection Management Digital Conversion Intern for the spring of 2027. This 12-week paid internship offers hands-on experience in collection/data management, reviewing hardcopy documents, auditing against the collection database, and assisting with data standard development.

The intern will work 20–24 hours per week onsite, reporting to the Head Registrar and permanent collection registrar, and will gain exposure to records management,

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in humanities, museum studies, public administration, or related field.
• Strong research and organizational abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with archival or collection management concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and organize hardcopy object file documents for validity and completeness.
• Audit and consolidate file materials and determine archival needs.
• Update data into the collection management system to keep records accurate.
• Assist with development of database standards and reference material.
• Create an FAQ document for staff and perform other duties as assigned.
