Job summary

RRD is a leading provider of marketing, packaging, print, and supply chain solutions. The Collator Operator – 1st Shift role is based in Osage, IA, with a starting min rate of $22.44 per hour and a schedule Monday–Friday, 7 am–3 pm, with possible overtime including weekends.

You will set up and operate collating and labeling machines, review specifications, and ensure quality while performing safety inspections and tracking production. Benefits and potential incentives are described in the ad.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work orders with collating requirements to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Knowledge of paper stock quality and machining requirements.
• Set up and adjust machines for finishing operations and to refine adjustments for weight, color, machinability and quality.
• Calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
• Use the full range of standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain collating machines.
• General knowledge of collating/label application machines for folds, gluing, perforating and cutting.
• Knowledge of setup and operating requirements for collating machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate collating and/or labeling/patching machines to produce value added enhancements to in-process work.
• Review specifications and set up equipment for forms collating, label affixing, or window patching per customer requirements.
• Operate equipment that may perform assembling and perforating, stapling, gluing, folding, or cutting sheets to form completed sets or die cut and apply labels or films.
• Perform safety inspections, document problems, and track production during operation.
