Job summary

Endeavor Health's Evanston facility seeks a Collaborative Registered Nurse, Oncology, to deliver safe, evidence-based care in an outpatient infusion setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology patients, collaborating with the health care team to improve outcomes and patient experience.

The role requires IL RN licensure, an Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), CPR certification, and at least 1 year of oncology infusion center experience;

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois RN licensure, required.
• Associate's in Nursing is required; Bachelor's in Nursing strongly preferred.
• CPR certification required; OCN/ONS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for oncology outpatients on a dedicated unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
• Supervise and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary care.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Collaborative Registered Nurse, Oncology
• Location: Evanston Hospital/Evanston Kellogg Cancer Center - Evanston, IL
• Full Time | 40 hours/week
• Hours: Shifts will vary between Monday - Friday: 4 - 10 hour, no weekends or holidays.

What you will do

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need

• Licensure: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.
• Education: Associate's in Nursing, required . Bachelor's in Nursing, strongly preferred
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association, required. OCN/ONS provider card preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience required ; If no oncology experience, ED, ICU, PACU experience highly preferred .
