Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse, Oncology, for the Plainfield, IL area. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a daytime schedule and possible weekend/holiday rotations.

You will provide expert nursing care on an oncology unit, participate in care planning, and guide care teams. Requirements include IL RN licensure, ASN with BSN preferred, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience; ED/ICU/PACU background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Illinois RN licensure.
• ASN required; BSN strongly preferred.
• CPR certification required; OCN/ONS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience; ED/ICU/PACU experience acceptable if no oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
• Contribute to safety outcomes and promote high quality patient experience.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Registered Nurse, Oncology

Location: Endeavor Health Cancer Center - Plainfield, IL

Full Time | 40 hours/week

Hours: Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays.

Required Travel : May float to Naperville based on scheduling needs

What you will do:

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need:

• Licensure: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required.
• Education: Associate's in Nursing, required . Bachelor's in Nursing, strongly preferred
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association, required. OCN/ONS provider card preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center experience required ; If no oncology experience, ED, ICU, PACU experience highly preferred .
