Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for Alabama Early Childhood Special Education P–3 certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or related field.
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Experience or knowledge supporting young children with disabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• School-based or early childhood special education experience preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized, IEP-driven instruction and support for Pre-K and Kindergarten students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in inclusive classroom settings.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate data, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.
• Differentiate instruction based on individual developmental and educational needs.
• Support positive behavior, functional skills, and student engagement.
• Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for IEP development, timelines, and implementation.
