Cornerstone Building Brands in Elizabethton, TN is seeking a welder for the Coldform department. The role is full-time, with a schedule 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays. The pay rate is $18.25 per hour, with overtime anticipated as needed.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate thorough knowledge of production processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Prior forklift/overhead crane familiarity and ability to work within a team are valued

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or similar environment
• Experience with forklift and/or overhead crane operation is a plus
• Comfort with power hand tools
• Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments

JOB DETAILS

Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for a welder in Coldform department. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of production techniques, great attention to detail, and a dedication to safety. Overtime is anticipated with this full-time, direct hire opportunity.

• Ability to read and comprehend documents including but not limited to policy manuals, safety rules/programs, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and simple correspondence
• In addition, the ability to communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations and settings is required
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form a must. In addition, the ability to solve problems, which involve multiple variables in a standard situation, is required
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to work with a diversified work force
• Be willing to cross train and be promotable
