Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a dock/loader for our Elizabethton, TN plant. The role focuses on staging, loading, and material handling to prepare steel fabrication product mix for shipment.

You will ensure accuracy by scanning loaded products and prioritizing safety and quality in every task. The ideal candidate has forklift experience, basic math skills, and the ability to work with a team to meet daily deadlines.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED.
• 1 year manufacturing or similar experience.
• 1 year forklift operation experience.
• Overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Comfort with power hand tools.
• Willingness to train and operate forklift and crane.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team.
• Basic math and measurement skills.

JOB DETAILS

Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM - Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays)

Starting pay is $16.25 per hour with potential increases based on experience and skill.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position facilitates staging, loading, and material handling used in the process of preparing steel fabrication product mix for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of loading techniques and have high attention to detail.

• Perform the required duties with the safety of self, fellow dock workers and the receiving parties in mind and quality as the top priority
• Required to scan all products loaded into truck 100%
• Report any safety or quality concerns to Supervisor or Plant Manager immediately
• Unload and load trucks and trailers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment
• A minimum of one (1) year of forklift operation
• Overhead crane experience is a plus
• Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools
• Willingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
