Job summary

Sysco is seeking a warehouse associate to handle general warehouse functions, from receiving to put-away and replenishments. Work includes operating forklifts, scanning LPNs, and ensuring product integrity in freezer, cooler, and dry environments.

The role requires adherence to PWMs, safety rules, and accurate documentation. Candidates should be able to work in a team, handle physical tasks, and pass the receiving certification process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a functional capacity test.
• Able to work effectively in a team and communicate with supervision, management and co-workers.
• Certification on material handling equipment is required, or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pallets received meet defined requirements.
• Enter/scan the LPN, catch-weight, manufacture date, expiration date into the warehouse management system using RF.
• Record item counts and weights against bills of lading, invoices and other records.
• Inspect product for shortages, damage, quality or deterioration of packing and report to supervisor.
• Operate MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and maintain equipment.
