Job summary

NewCold Melbourne is seeking a Maintenance Tech to maintain and repair conveyors, cranes, refrigeration systems, and related equipment in a high-precision cold storage facility.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and coordinating with planners to minimize downtime. Candidates should have 3+ years in industrial maintenance, familiarity with PLCs, and the ability to work in cold environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including conveyors and related systems.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, including low-voltage, high-voltage 480V, and 3-phase motors.
• Previous experience with PLCs is a plus, as is familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to work effectively in cold freezer environment.
• Must be able to climb 120ft ladder using safety harness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment per supplier guidelines, including conveyors, cranes, refrigeration systems, and dock equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and repairs with minimal operational impact.
• Coordinate with Planners and System Operators to schedule repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair components in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA, FSDA, and company safety policies.
