Job summary

Americold is seeking an industrial maintenance technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the warehouse, including doors, dock levelers, freezer doors, roofing, and HVAC systems.

Under general supervision, you will troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, sprinkler systems, and carpentry, inspect equipment, and maintain preventive maintenance records. This role requires ability to work on-call and adapt to flexible shifts in a cold storage environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in industrial or facilities maintenance, or technical certification.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, sprinkler systems, and carpentry.
• Knowledge of equipment in maintenance trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine general maintenance and repairs in the warehouse (doors, dock levelers, freezer doors, roofing, HVAC).
• Repair electrical, plumbing, sprinkler, and damper systems in OSHA-compliant manner.
• Test and inspect operating and safety equipment; maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Maintain tools and equipment; support snow removal, painting, and paving as needed.
• Respond to on-call security alarm calls and flexible shift requirements.
