Job summary

Peco-Foods in Mississippi is seeking a PIT Operator II- Shipping to safely operate stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts, while handling all functions tied to the warehouse. You will receive, store, pick, and ship goods per SOPs, and ensure USDA standards are met.

The role requires flexibility for weekends and nights, with attention to accurate inventory and effective communication.

Qualifications

Able to safely operate stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts.
Strong focus on safety and following SOPs to ensure a safe workplace.
Attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory records and proper handling of goods.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights.
Ability to use scanning devices for shipping, receiving and inventory functions.

Responsibilities

Abide by all safety protocols to assure a safe workplace.
Perform all functions related to receiving and putting away inbound freight by properly following established SOPs.
Perform all functions related to picking and shipping outbound freight by properly following established SOPs.
Maintain the warehouse and equipment in a manner that abides by all USDA requirements.
Maintain an accurate warehouse inventory by following all established SOPs.
Perform necessary inventory functions when required.
