Job summary

Peco Foods Inc. is seeking a PIT Operator II- Shipping to safely operate stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts in a warehouse environment. You will follow SOPs for receiving, put-away, picking and shipping, and maintain inventory in line with USDA requirements.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in cold environments, and flexibility to work weekends and nights. Safety and accurate records are essential to success.

Job Title: PIT Operator II- Shipping

Job Summary:This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts while performing all functions associated with the warehouse.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

• Abide by all safety protocols to assure a safe workplace
• Perform all functions related to receiving and putting away inbound freight by properly following established SOPs
• Perform all functions related to picking and shipping outbound freight by properly following established SOPs
• Maintain the warehouse and equipment in a manner that abides by all USDA requirements
• Maintain an accurate warehouse inventory by following all established SOPs
• Perform necessary inventory functions when required

Physical/Mental Requirements

• Must be able to stand/walk 100% of the work day.
• Gripping and repetitive use of hands.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb steps.
• Must be comfortable working in organic conditions.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds repetitively
• Ability to work at heights when necessary

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years operating stand-up counter balance forklifts and stand-up deep reach forklifts in a cold storage or large-scale distribution center.
