Job summary

Our client, a manufacturing employer, is seeking a Cold Header Machine Operator in Tyrone, PA to join the Manufacturing Department and support the Production and Fastener-Forming Teams. The ideal candidate will have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

The role involves operating cold header machines, loading material, setting dies and feed rates, performing in-process inspections and documenting production in ERP/SPC systems, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of cold-forming or header machine experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in fastener or rivet production strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Willingness to work overtime based on production needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate cold header machines to produce precision metal fasteners.
• Load wire/raw material and adjust dies, punches, and feed rates for optimal performance.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Monitor machine operation and perform basic troubleshooting to maintain production flow.
• Document production and quality checks accurately in ERP and SPC systems.
