Qualifications

• Proven experience setting up and operating automatic cold header machines.
• Strong knowledge of shop math and manufacturing terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience working with multiple dies and transfer systems
• High attention to quality and detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automatic cold header machines
• Form and cut off coil stock for precision production
• Make machine adjustments to reduce stock size
• Adjust cold header machines with multiple tools and multiple transfer fingers
• Utilize cut-off tools and multiple dies effectively
• Use hand tools including box and end wrenches, micrometers, scales, bench grinders, optical comparators, indicator plugs, depth and go/no-go gauges, cutting tools, and read technical drawings
• Apply shop math and standard shop practices
• Monitor machine quality output by checking parts frequently
• Collaborate with Tool and Die Makers in the development and production of hammers, up-sets, and quills
