Job summary

United States Cold Storage Inc in Wilmington, IL is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily operations, coordinate workflow, and ensure safety, sanitation, cost control, productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction in line with facility goals.

You will oversee labor allocation, overtime decisions, performance reviews, and adherence to good warehousing practices and food safety standards, acting as a liaison between staff and departments while driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of supervisor experience preferred.
• Experience supervising warehouse operations, ideally in temperature-controlled environments.
• Familiarity with RF scan systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate warehouse workflow prioritizing safety, sanitation, cost control, productivity, accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Act as visible leader within the team, fostering positive relationships and upholding company culture.
• Oversee hiring, promotions, terminations, and labor decisions as needed.
• Supervise labor allocation, overtime approvals, and timecard management.
• Conduct performance reviews and ensure adherence to Good Warehousing Practices and inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with shipping/receiving to manage docks and pallet flow.
• Utilize WMS to track tasks, inventory and exceptions; troubleshoot issues with staff.
• Escalate issues to management/HR and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
