Job summary

Americold is hiring a Forklift Operator to assist in the safe receipt, storage, and shipment of cold chain products. You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach lifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners, ensuring accurate handling and labeling.

Expect a shift pattern including weekdays and weekends; compliance with safety standards and production targets is essential, with duties expanding to inventory and routine equipment maintenance as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, label and wrap items as directed.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners safely and in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while keeping a clean, orderly environment.
• Perform inventory, housekeeping, and other duties as needed.
