Job summary

Qualifications

• Language skills to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos and correspondences.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Basic mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Ability to apply common sense and solve problems with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials and containers.
• Measures samples for conformity with customer specifications.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks by hand or with equipment.
• Assists setup/machine technicians in loading/unloading of machines and stacks material on pallets.
• Observes slitting and rewinding operation and checks strips for defects.
• Counts, weighs and records pallets and material units daily.
