Job summary

Precoat Metals is seeking a Visual Inspector to perform visual and quality inspection of finished products and determine acceptability against standards. The role requires quick problem analysis and corrective action under the shift supervisor.

You will interact with Coater Operators, QC Lab, and supervision and must read production schedules for compliance. Responsibilities include initiating appropriate actions, recording data, and maintaining 6S standards in a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High school level reading and writing required.
• Six months work experience in industrial or warehouse environment with fork lifts.
• Ability to safely operate small manual and electric hand tools.
• Available to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain on-line visual quality and report discrepancies to plant personnel.
• Analyze problems quickly and determine coat/no coat sequences under supervisor guidance.
• Communicate with Coater Operators, QC Lab, and supervision on appearance adjustments.
• Read, comprehend and interpret production schedules.
