Job summary

Brooksource seeks a Cognos Report Writer / Analyst to support Missouri MO HealthNet. You will design, modify, and maintain Cognos reports that identify fraud, waste, and abuse within Medicaid. You will work with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable solutions and analyze claims data to guide decisions.

The role is hybrid, based in Jefferson City, MO, with onsite presence 1–2 days per week. Prior Medicaid or healthcare reporting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with IBM Cognos Analytics and related tools.
• Strong SQL and data querying experience.
• Experience with large, complex datasets and relational DBs.
• Ability to gather and interpret business requirements.
• Analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Professional presence interacting with client stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Health Admin or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Gather reporting requirements from business and program stakeholders and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
• Analyze Medicaid claims, provider, member, and program data to support reporting and operational decision making.
• Develop recurring operational, compliance, audit, and ad hoc reports.
• Validate report accuracy and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
• Collaborate with business users, program leaders, and technical teams to improve reporting capabilities and processes.
• Document report specifications, business rules, and reporting procedures.
• Support data quality efforts and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide timely responses to stakeholder inquiries and reporting requests.
