Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Project/Program Manager to lead complex, multi-project programs and drive strategic outcomes across cognitive and operational domains.

You will oversee planning, resourcing, risk management, and stakeholder communications, applying PMI methodologies and ensuring quality assurance throughout project lifecycles. This role requires US citizenship and security readiness to meet contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Active knowledge of cognitive performance, brain health, neuroscience, human performance, psychology, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope including planning activities and artifacts.
• Oversee and manage large multi-project programs including planning, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as needed to meet changing requirements.
• Identify resources needed and assign responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain resource plans and required documents for projects.
• Baseline projects and capture actual metrics for historical metrics and LoE forecasting.
• Review deliverables before passing to management and customers.
• Apply PMI methodology and enforce project standards across projects.
• Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
• Minimize risk exposure on projects.
• Communicate relevant project information to management, stakeholders, and customers.
• Resolve issues in a timely manner considering project impact.
• Ensure project documents are complete and stored properly.
• Track lessons learned and apply them to subsequent projects.
• Close out all projects properly.
• Supervise staff with direction, input, and performance feedback.
• Escalate and prioritize workloads, resolving issues.
