Job summary

Maximus seeks a senior program manager to lead cognitive-domain programs and complex multi-project initiatives in a demanding environment.

You will apply PMI standards, manage planning, resources, and performance metrics while coordinating with SOF personnel and stakeholders. This role requires US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance, with on-site work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cognitive performance, brain health, neuroscience, human performance, psychology, or related discipline.
• Strong planning, program management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary programs or complex initiatives.
• Ability to operate in a multi-domain, cross-functional environment.
• US citizenship and eligibility for a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project, planning activities, and artifacts.
• Oversee large multi-project programs including planning, staffing, and controlling activities.
• Create and execute project work plans and revise to meet changing needs.
• Identify resources and assign responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain resource plans and required documents.
• Baseline projects and capture metrics for forecasting and LoE.
• Review deliverables before management and customer delivery.
• Apply PMI methodology and enforce project standards.
• Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
• Minimize risk exposure on projects.
• Communicate project information to management, stakeholders, and customers.
• Resolve issues promptly considering impact on the project.
• Ensure project documents are current and stored properly.
• Track lessons learned and apply to future projects.
• Close out projects properly and debrief stakeholders.
• Supervise staff and provide performance feedback.
• Escalation point for workload prioritization and issue resolution.
