Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in cognitive neuroscience or related field by time of appointment.
• Evidence of scholarly achievement in candidate’s area.
• Experience with neuroscientific methods suitable for Cal Poly.
• Commitment to broadening psychology to include underrepresented groups.
• Demonstrated university teaching experience.
• Proficiency in written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses such as Biopsychology, Cognition, Memory, Cognitive Neuroscience, Behavioral Effects of Psychoactive Drugs, Memory, Sensation and Perception, and/or Research Methods.
• Develop and maintain an active, externally funded or proposal-ready research program.
• Demonstrate commitment to diversity, inclusion, and mentorship within the department.
• Engage in service to the department, college, and university.
