California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professors in Cognitive Neuroscience to begin approximately August 12, 2027. Candidates must have a PhD in cognitive neuroscience, or related field, completed by the time of hire and demonstrated experience.

Specific area of specialization is open, including but not limited to research areas such as: language, decision-making, computational/quantitative

Qualifications

• PhD in cognitive neuroscience or related field by start date.
• Evidence of scholarly achievement in specialization.
• Experience with neuroscientific methods feasible at Cal Poly.
• Commitment to broadening psychology to include underrepresented groups.
• University teaching experience and strong English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses such as Biopsychology, Cognition, Memory, and Research Methods.
• Develop and conduct a research program suitable for a primarily undergraduate institution.
• Engage in scholarship and service to maintain current disciplinary knowledge.
