Qualifications

PhD in cognitive neuroscience or related field by time of appointment (Aug 12, 2027).
Evidence of scholarly achievement in candidate’s area of specialization.
Experience with neuroscientific methods that can be done at Cal Poly and a research plan including those methods.
Commitment to broadening psychology to include underrepresented groups through research, service, mentorship, and/or course content.
Demonstrated university teaching experience.
Proficiency in written and oral English.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses such as Biopsychology, Cognition, Memory, Cognitive Neuroscience, Behavioral Effects of Psychoactive Drugs, Sensation and Perception, and Research Methods.
Balance teaching with an active program of research and professional development.
Supervise and advise students and participate in service activities at department and university level.
