Job summary

Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA in Suffolk, VA is seeking a Quality Control Tech to assure quality in our Roasting/Processing Department and ensure GMP and HACCP compliance. You will conduct physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations of coffee, record data, train operations teams, and help maintain lot traceability, cleanliness, and safety across production.

This full-time hourly position offers a pay range of $21.00 to $31.00 per hour, with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to food

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in food manufacturing experience.
• Strong sensory abilities (taste/smell).
• Familiar with GMPs and food safety standards like SQF or GFSI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory evaluations of coffee to ensure roasting specs.
• Adhere to GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Record and report quality data; maintain documentation.
• Provide training on quality programs to operations teams.
• Ensure blending, roasting, grinding, and flavoring meet specs and safety.
• Test batches for appearance, aroma, grind, moisture; log data.
• Verify SOPs are followed and maintain lot traceability records.
• Coordinate with Sanitation to ensure procedures are followed.
