Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is seeking a Production Technician to operate roasting, grinding, or packaging equipment, ensure safety, and help maintain product quality in a 3rd shift environment. The role emphasizes documentation, QA tasks, and teamwork on a fast-paced production line.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of hands-on production experience, with basic math and computer skills. Overtime and weekend work may be needed, with a strong focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year hands-on production experience in a machine technician, machine operator, or production operations leadership role.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production documentation, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic proficiency in math, reading, and written communication.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate standard workplace systems.
• Preferred: 1 year of coffee industry or food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate roasting, grinding, or packaging equipment per the production schedule.
• Monitor quality control points and complete QA tasks for the workstation.
• Maintain and submit production records and cleanliness standards.
• Communicate production performance, quality, or safety issues to supervisors and engineering as needed.
• Train and supervise daily production team members and temporary workers.
• Support safety programs (GMPs, SSOPs) and participate in workstation development.
