Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Manager, Coding Operations to lead inpatient and outpatient coding across service lines. You will ensure accurate DRG/APC assignments and drive throughput, timeliness, and workflow efficiency while guiding coding teams.

You will partner with CDI, Revenue Integrity, and Education to improve documentation and reduce risk, with a focus on enterprise performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding methodologies.
• Understanding of DRG/IPPS and OPPS/APC reimbursement guidelines.
• Ability to manage high-volume inpatient and outpatient coding workflows.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation and acuity representation.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and trends.

Responsibilities

• Lead inpatient and outpatient coding operations across service lines.
• Ensure timely coding performance and accurate DRG/APC assignment.
• Monitor productivity, throughput, and turnaround times; address variances.
• Enforce workflow management, prioritization, and escalation protocols.
• Collaborate with CDI, Revenue Integrity, and Education teams on improvements.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards and regulatory guidance.
• Provide reporting on coding performance and operational risks.
