Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent is required.
• CPC certification by AAPC is required.
• AHIMA CCS/CCS-P/CCA certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately abstracts information and assigns CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes and modifiers.
• Reviews and resolves coding denials.
• Completes charges sessions in assigned work queues in a timely manner.
• Ensures documentation meets CMS Teaching Physician Rules and ULH policies.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and security standards.
