• Ability to conduct field investigations and enforce codes with impartiality and effectiveness.
• Experience documenting investigations, preparing reports, and presenting evidence in meetings or court.

Responsibilities

• Enforce city codes related to land use, building, housing, health and safety, and property maintenance.
• Receive and respond to complaints; conduct inspections and interviews; issue notices and determine corrective actions.
• Document investigations, maintain case files, and prepare reports for enforcement actions and legal proceedings.
• Appear in court as needed and provide testimony on enforcement cases.
• Proactively patrol assigned areas and perform follow-up to ensure compliance.
