Job summary

The City of Greeley is seeking a Code Compliance Inspector I to investigate complaints, conduct field inspections, and enforce municipal codes to promote public health, safety, and neighborhood quality of life.

You will work directly with residents, property owners, businesses and other City departments to identify violations, encourage voluntary compliance, issue notices, and prepare evidence for administrative hearings. This is a benefits-eligible, full-time role in Colorado.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• One year of experience in regulatory code enforcement or inspections.
• One year of experience with databases or case management software.

Responsibilities

• Investigate citizen complaints and inspect properties for code violations.
• Issue notices of violation and maintain case records.
• Coordinate with City departments and prepare hearing materials.
• Interact professionally with residents, property owners, and businesses.
• Assist with enforcement actions and documentation for City Attorney.
