Job summary

The City of Lancaster is seeking a dependable Code Compliance Officer to help maintain safe, clean, and attractive neighborhoods. This role conducts property inspections, investigates code violations and citizen complaints, and prepares notices and citations.

You will work with residents and property owners to ensure compliance with city ordinances, interpret and enforce codes, and document findings. Availability for occasional after-hours inspections may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License required.
• Registered Code Compliance Officer certification in the State of Texas.
• Ability to interpret and enforce City codes and regulations.
• Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, conduct field inspections, and handle challenging situations professionally.
• Availability for occasional after-hours emergency inspections when required.
