Qualifications

• Two years of college or vocational coursework in building construction, drafting, engineering studies or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Inspects industrial, commercial, and residential buildings at various construction stages and ensures code compliance.
• Reviews plans and checks job-site conformity to City/state/federal codes.
• Prepares reports and maintains inspection records and permits.
• Coordinates inspection requests and communicates requirements to stakeholders.
• Operates city vehicles and provides customer service.
