Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; strong record keeping and reporting skills.
• Act 407 certification in plan review and inspections required.
• ICC Certification in Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector-64 within 6 months.
• Experience in building, code compliance, rental, and enforcement.
• Ability to review plans and designs for conformity with Building Code and zoning.

Aufgaben

• Review plans, blueprints, and building specs for code compliance.
• Perform on-site inspections of vacant, under-construction, or occupied properties.
• Issue notices of violations and monitor correction of violations.
• Assist in rental inspections and enforcement of city codes.
• Coordinate clerical staff activities in the Building office.
• Maintain and utilize Building Department software (BS&A).
