Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections seeks a Behavioral Health Manager 1 to oversee the COD treatment program at Columbia River Correctional Institution in Portland. You will lead clinical staff, implement policies, ensure compliance, and coordinate multidisciplinary care for adults in custody with co-occurring disorders.

This management role requires a clinical license or QMHA credential, supervisory experience, and the ability to develop procedures, train staff, and monitor program quality

Qualifications

• Possession of a clinical license or certificate of mental health and addiction treatment AND two years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience.
• OR a master’s degree in a related field AND one year of lead work or supervising mental health services that include mental health assessment and diagnosis.
• Credentialed as QMHA with MHACBO, or able to be credentialed as QMHA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee COD treatment program operations in a minimum custody facility.
• Develop policy and procedures, supervise staff, and ensure program quality.
• Provide individual and group counseling, staff training, and data tracking.
