Job summary

The Oregon Department of Corrections seeks a Behavior Health Manager 1 to oversee the COD treatment program at Columbia River Correctional Institution in Portland. Lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure policy compliance, and deliver treatment services to adults in custody with co-occurring disorders.

Position requires clinical licensure or QMHA credentials; supervisory experience; and CADC-II/III credentials with MHACBO oversight. Eligible for PERS and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Possession of a clinical license or certificate of mental health and addiction treatment AND two years of supervision/management experience.
• Or a master’s degree in a related field AND one year of lead work supervising mental health services including assessment/diagnosis.
• Credentialed as a QMHA or eligible for QMHA credentialing with MHACBO and CADC-II/III requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee COD treatment program operations in a minimum custody facility.
• Develop policies, procedures, and program management practices.
• Supervise addiction treatment counseling staff and direct care to adults in custody with co-occurring disorders.
• Evaluate program quality, ensure clinical practice integrity, and track program data.
• Provide direct client care including assessment, counseling, and group facilitation.
