The Birchwood Inn is seeking an experienced server for our dining room in Saint Petersburg, FL. The role requires high-volume serving experience, strong knowledge of liquor, beer and wine, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

A high-energy, customer-focused approach will help deliver exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities include presenting menus, taking and transmitting orders, ensuring proper table settings, and processing payments.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years high-volume serving experience.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and cold.
• High energy level.
• Intermediate knowledge of liquor, beer and wine.
• General math skills.
• Selling to customer needs.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare rooftop service by setting tables, condiments, napkins, plates, and utensils.
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies.
• Assist patrons with food and beverage selections and menu guidance.
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen and note dietary needs.
• Keep kitchen informed by timing meal progression.
• Deliver orders and accompaniments to patrons.
• Respond to additional patron needs and dining process cues.
• Maintain table setting by clearing, replenishing, and addressing spills.
• Conclude dining by inviting guests to return and thanking them.
• Process payments, issue bills, and handle change or card payments.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving related results as needed.

Serves patrons by providing information to help food and beverage selections; presenting ordered choices; maintaining dining ambiance.

Duties:

• Prepare rooftopfor service by setting tablescondiments, napkins, service plates, and utensils
• Protectestablishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Helppatrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails and aperitifs; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
• Keeps kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
• Serves orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments from service bars
• Respondto additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
• Maintaintable setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
• Conclude dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; inviting patrons to return
• Obtainrevenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; delivering bill and payment to guest; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
• Contributeto team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
