Job Description:

The NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) seeks a contractor for approximately 12 months to serve as a Specialist on the State Automated Driver License System (SADLS). Responsibilities include analyzing complex legacy modules, coding, testing, and modifying legacy applications.

Role Responsibilities:

• Analyze, define, and document data and business process requirements
• Design, document, and coordinate changes to legacy modules
• Document project deliverables
• Assess feasibility and compatibility of modifications
• Ensure quality control of deliverables

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a programmer analyst in government or corporate environment
• At least 1 year experience exposing CICS and COBOL programs as web services via CICS Transaction Server
• Proven programming, testing, debugging, and documentation skills in mainframe environments
• Experience with analysis and design, excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with financial process analysis and modification
• Ability to work independently and with large project teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, COBOL, CICS, TSO, MVS JCL, ENDEVOR, CA Tools, SQL, DB2, VSAM

Preferred:

• Experience with State or county government
• SSL experience
• Enterprise-level application development experience
• At least 1 year experience with .NET/C#
