Job summary

SLG Services, Inc. is seeking a production-rate coax splicer to support plant upgrades, extensions and new builds on the HFC plant. You will splice, sweep, activate and test to ensure reliable service and node optimization.

Ideal candidates have 1–3+ years in coax splicing, are comfortable on ladders or bucket trucks, and can work flexible shifts. Commitment to safety and accuracy is essential in a field role with company-provided training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ yrs coax splicing & sweeping experience.
• Comfortable on ladder or bucket truck; quality-focused.
• Valid driver's license; flexible on shifts/overtime.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to manage capacity.
• Utilise RF meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers); forward/reverse sweep & network verification.
• Install/dress coax, enclosures, line extenders, amplifiers and drops; programme nodes/amps.
• Read CATV telecom design/prints; maintain coax asset inventory and splicing records.

About The Company

SLG Services, Inc. performs turnkey outside-plant (OSP) telecom construction — aerial and underground placement, fiber and coax splicing, testing and restoration — as a single self-performing partner to leading communications providers.

The Role

Production-rate coax splicer supporting plant upgrades, extensions and new build — splicing, sweeping, activations, testing, troubleshooting and node optimization on the HFC plant.
