CableCom, LLC in Anaheim, CA is hiring a Coax Splicer II to splice coaxial cable for telecommunications networks. The role involves working both aerial and underground, testing and troubleshooting post-install equipment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Expect field tasks, safety protocols, and daily reporting. Required experience includes at least two years in coax splicing, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass a DOT medical exam.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for CableCom, LLC.
• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver''s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.
• At least two years of coax splicing experience.
• Certified pole climber or able to demonstrate proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks associated with electronic upgrades and splicing of coaxial cable, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking maps and material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Perform tasks associated with electronic upgrades and splicing of coaxial cable, both aerial and underground

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company

• Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least two years of coax splicing experience
• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber, is preferred
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work at heights & in confined spaces, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles

The wage range for Splicer II Coax is$28.00 - $33.00.
