Job summary

SLG Services, Inc. is seeking a Production-rate coax splicer to support plant upgrades and new builds. You will splice, sweep, activate, test, troubleshoot and optimize coax in HFC networks, working in field environments with a focus on quality and safety.

The role requires 1–3+ years of coax splicing experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility for overtime. CDL may be required for some field roles; benefits include comprehensive coverage and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing coaxial cable.
• Optimize new nodes and perform node splits to manage capacity.
• Utilize RF meters and TDR for network verification.
• Install and dress coax, enclosures, line extenders and amps; program nodes/amps.
• Read CATV telecom designs/prints; maintain splicing records and inventory.

The Role

Production-rate coax splicer supporting plant upgrades, extensions and new build — splicing, sweeping, activations, testing, troubleshooting and node optimization on the HFC plant.

Responsibilities

• Splice, sweep and troubleshoot existing aerial and underground coaxial cable.
• Optimize new nodes and splice in node splits to manage capacity.
• Utilize RF meters and TDR (time-domain reflectometers); forward/reverse sweep & network verification.
• Install/dress coax, enclosures, line extenders, amplifiers and drops; program nodes/amps.
• Read CATV telecom design/prints; maintain coax asset inventory and splicing records.
