Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems in Orrville, OH is seeking a results-driven Plant Leader to oversee all operations and facilities for the coatings facility. You will develop manufacturing strategies, drive process excellence, and manage cross-functional teams to maximize productivity.

The role requires 10+ years in manufacturing with full P&L responsibility and hands-on leadership of large teams in a lean, chemical batch environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• 5+ years in operations with full P&L responsibility.
• 5+ years leading 50+ people.
• Coatings experience strongly preferred.
• Strong financial and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop and implement strategies maximizing productivity and profitability.
• Strong chemical batch processing knowledge in a lean, highly customized manufacturing environment.
• Experience applying or implementing lean manufacturing, kaizen methodology, and production systems.
• Large capital project management skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations and facilities for Axalta's Orrville coatings facility.
• Develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Drive process excellence and continuous improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and inventory.
• Direct Plant Management across Manufacturing, Quality, EH&S, and Engineering.
• Manage production, warehousing, maintenance, budgets, and productivity improvements.
• Analyze plant requirements and collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, procurement, business, R&D, HR, Finance, and Legal.
• Lead strategic capital investment projects and deliver expected outcomes.
• Translate regional and global operations strategies into local execution.
• Ensure efficient product and supply-chain flow from supplier to customer.
• Enable best-in-class service to internal and external customers.
• Consider competitive technology, EH&S, and team development developments.
• Provide direct leadership for a 100+ employee operations organization, including approximately 5-8 exempt direct reports.
