Job summary

Axalta is seeking a Production Plant Manager for our Orrville, Ohio facility. You will direct all plant operations, lead a 100+ employee organization, and own production, warehousing and maintenance to deliver best-in-class service and profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and experience with lean practices, Kaizen and capital projects. You will partner across functions to translate global strategies into local execution and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in operations with P&L responsibility.
• 5+ years leading 50+ people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all plant operations and facilities.
• Direct line responsibility for 100+ operations staff including 5–8 exempt reports.
• Own production, warehousing and maintenance for an integrated coatings facility.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, delivery, and inventory.
• Lead Manufacturing, Quality, EH&S and Engineering; build capabilities.
• Manage the operations budget through productivity and quality control.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Technology teams to meet customer needs.
• Lead strategic capital investment projects with expected outcomes.
• Instill operational excellence and disciplined site management.
• Be data-driven and implement urgent-solutions when needed.
