Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an Industrial Coating Supervisor to oversee the coatings department in Pittsfield, MA. The role leads technicians, manages surface prep, coating, curing, and inspection to meet quality and regulatory standards.

You will ensure safety, optimize processes, maintain paperwork, and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial coatings or surface finishing.
• Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct, train, and evaluate coatings technicians and support staff.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet production schedules.
• Foster safety, teamwork, and accountability.
• Oversee surface preparation, application, curing, and inspection of coatings.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, quality standards, and best practices.
• Maintain documentation of coating processes and corrective actions.
• Support process improvements and collaboration with other departments.
